“ PENTASI B 2019中国世界诗歌节&苏菲世界诗歌奖” 自2018年11月截止2019年4月共收到来自全球英、法、德、日、俄、意大利语、土耳其语、印地语、菲律宾语、孟加拉语、阿拉伯语、希腊语、马其顿语等各个语种，各个国家，各个名族诗歌稿件2万多份（汉语和英语占比例最大）。诗歌总行数超过400万行。被苏菲提名的外国诗人5人（外国人不敢提名太多，理解吧！邀请他们来是要经费的，多理解吧！）。被苏菲提名的中国诗人42人。提名诗人和获奖诗人诗歌总行数超过15000行。这样巨大的诗歌行数一是翻译任务重；二是很难放到一本书里出版；三是打破了原计划放到《苏菲诗歌&翻译》英汉双语世界诗刊里面逐渐刊载的计划。

由于有部分提名诗人没有及时见到自己的诗歌被网络推广和在纸质刊物刊载，急的像热锅上的蚂蚁，不惜撕破在诗坛的脸面，大肆诋毁苏菲，说出一些贻笑大方、使其颜面尽失的话语。我在这里给一些没有举办过世界性，国际性多语种诗歌节、诗歌活动、也没有被大量中外多语种诗歌节邀请过的诗人说：世界性，国际性多语种诗歌节、诗歌活动不是想办立刻可以执行的活动，特别是世界性多语种、多民族的诗歌节，要把全世界著名的各个语种、各个民族的诗人组织到中国来，一要时间，二要经费，三要天时地利人和。诗歌节选集的翻译出版工程量浩大，特别是英汉双语诗歌节的诗歌选集。
苏菲不惜打破国人新诗100年传统历程，第一次在中国开创了以翻译家为主导，真正将外国诗歌节引进中国的创新模式；苏菲“冒天下之大不韪”首次用诗人翻译家的笔名发起“苏菲世界诗歌奖”，并亲手翻译出版世界诗歌节诗歌集，这本来就是对诗人或翻译家特别是中国诗人和翻译家的巨大挑战。途中经历变数是无可厚非的。如果你是不讲道理、不可理喻的诗人，想用任何理由抹黑苏菲及苏菲所做的一切的，请你主动放弃，不要再投稿找苏菲翻译。苏菲一直只想以自己对英语语言的热爱和特长，力所能及地把中国诗歌和中国诗人带到全世界！

在朋朋、苏菲，大藏共同商讨下，我们决定先出版一本颁奖典礼合集《PENTASI B 2019中国世界诗歌节&苏菲世界诗歌奖诗选》把获奖诗人和提名诗人代表作放进去。接下来再出版《PENTASI B 2019中国世界诗歌节&苏菲世界诗歌奖 诗全集》。我们在组织、宣传诗歌节的过程中，得到了众多诗坛大腕如谢冕、潇潇等的大力支持，有更多的诗人和旁观者为我们点赞。看来我们做的是极对的，我们一系列的诗歌节活动已经成为考验中国诗人如何看待本土与国际、“民间市场”与“官本位领地”的一个试金石，我们希望见到更多的诗人再多一些耐心和执着！对诗歌再多一些热忱！

Poets, friends, and readers from all over of the world, especially the world contributors to the PENTASI B 2019 China World Poetry Festival & Sophy Chen World Poetry Awards, nominated poets, and award-winning poets of it, Sophy Chen and Doc Penpen, make a sincere apology to you here. The PENTASI B 2019 China World Poetry Festival & Sophy Chen World Poetry Awards are new babies to China, and they have embarked on a new and unknown road in initiating, preparing, operating and a series of activities of awarding. In particular, asking poems, translation, and publication are far exceeded the original expectations. Just like the overwhelming success of this poetry festival, they are all surprising and unexpected! How can you truly understand it if you did not personally experience this poetry festival!

Since November 2018 and ending in April 2019, PENTASI B 2019 China World Poetry Festival & Sophy Chen World Poetry Awards, received more than 20,000 manuscripts of poems in various languages, various countries and ethnic groups (Chinese and English are the largest) including Filipino, Bengali, Arabic, Greek, Macedonian. The total number of poetry lines exceeds 4 million lines. Five foreign poets were nominated by SOPHY CHEN (foreigners we dare not nominate too much, understand it! We need money to invite them to come, you understand it!). 42 Chinese poets were nominated by SOPHY CHEN. The total number of poetry lines of nominated and award-winning poets exceeds 15,000 lines. The number of such huge poetry lines, the first is that the translation task is heavy; the second is that it is so difficult to put it in one book for publication; The third is to break the original plan to put them in Sophy Poetry & Translation C-E World Paper Magazine and gradually published.

As some of the nominated poets did not see their poems being promoted online and published in paper publications in time, they were as anxious as ants on the hot pot. They did not hesitate to tear up their faces in the poetry world, vilified Sophy Chen, and uttered some laughs and some words which make them lost faces in poetry world. Here I would like to say to poets who have not held a world, international, multilingual poetry festival or poetry events, nor have they been invited by a large number of Chinese and foreign multilingual poetry festivals:world, international, multilingual poetry festival, or poetry event are not activities that you intend to organize them which can be performed immediately, especially the multi-lingual and multi-ethnic poetry festivals around the world, which we want to organize the world’s most famous poets from all languages and ethnic groups to China. One is time, the other is funding, and the third are right time, right place and right people. The volume of translation and publication works of selected anthologies of poetry festival is huge, especially the anthologies of bilingual poems in English and Chinese. Sophy Chen did not hesitate to break the 100-year tradition of Chinese modern poetry. For the first time, she initiated a translator-led way and truly introduced foreign poetry festivals to China. Sophy Chen “goes against the wind of world” launched the “Sophy Chen World Poetry Awards” for the first time under the pseudonym of a poet and translator, and personally translated and published anthologies of world poetry festivals. This is a great challenge for poets or translators, especially Chinese poets and translators. It is understandable to experience variables on the way.
